1. Materials:
*Cardstock for cover and for 3"x3" window
*button, needle, and coordinating thread (not pictured)
*X-acto® and deco scissor (not pictured)
*3"x3" Post-It® note pad
*square paper punch,
*stamps, inks and Versamark® Pen
*ribbon and a glue stick

2.  Use square punch to make window and
    Quick Score the cover.

3. The cover and punch out square are both facing
    right side up. Line up 3" x 3" window cardstock
    accordingly.

4.  Stamp the window and punch out square.

5.  Color in the stamped image as desired.  The
     Versamark® pen is used to repeat the lady bug
     trail (seen on the ribbon)on the cover of the note
     ad.  It can be seen in the enlarged final picture.

6.  Using an X-acto® knife, cut two small slits into the top
     note pad fold (in between the score lines) for ribbon
     placement. If the ribbon is thick, like the one used in
     this example, your X-acto® cuts may mimic the cut a
     rectangle hole punch makes. This larger hole prevents
     the ribbon from tearing the paper.

7.  The button is sewn onto the image that shows in the
     window. The window cardstock is decoratively edged.
     Place the stamped punch out square on the inside
     window to cover the thread that holds the button.

8.  A glue stick generally works well to adhere the cover
      to the note pad.  With the ribbon placement, however,
      you may choose to use a glue gun for the bound edge.

9. Optional: Place finished gift in a poly or cello bag with
     a personalized topper. The layered "Just Because"
     cardstock opens like a gift card for a personal message
     (and hides the staples too!).
